Athena Real Estate Advisors was founded in 2009 by Leslie Burke, and received its WBENC (woman-owned business) designation in 2010. Athena provides real estate advisory and consulting services to Prime FDIC contractors, private equity firms, high net worth individuals, and financial services companies. Athena handles all FDIC paperwork, security clearance, 1099 administration and FDIC expense reporting. We are an excellent choice either as a WBENC partner, or for your outsourcing needs.
Athena has a national network of independent contractors with deep experience and diverse backgrounds. Athena also has strategic alliances with much larger firms to draw upon for staffing large-scale assignments, or which require significant deployment of back office or technical infrastructure.
The vast majority of Athena's independent contractors are seasoned real estate executives with 20 years, or more, of relevant industry experience. Athena also strives to support other women-owned enterprises and the members of the national CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) network.
Athena handles both short and long term assignments, from focused due diligence projects to turn-key asset and portfolio management. In most cases Athena provides staffing and project management, as well as any required client-specific training or reporting.
While much of Athena’s focus is directed toward commercial real estate, we are also equipped to handle residential loans and assets.
Athena is proud to be one of three firms used nationally by Eastdil Secured, the pre-eminent real estate investment banking firm, in conjunction with its role as a Prime Contractor for valuation assignments with the FDIC.
